Assignments usually begin with an initial scouting visit to the site. This is sometimes done with the client, sometimes not. Photographs taken on this visit are then posted on the web for review.

After discussion of the scouting shots, the final views are decided upon, and a date is scheduled. Any special arrangements such as accessability to the site, necessary props, models, assistants, etc. are all worked out with the client in advance. Any additional use rights for second parties are also agreed upon at this time. If weather is a factor, an alternate date is tentatively scheduled.

It is often helpful to have the client present for at least part of the shoot, to verify final details and confirm shot selection. This is especially true if the client was not present on the walkthrough.

Within one week of the shoot, all photos are uploaded to a private webpage for review by the client. It is also possible to have these proofs delivered as hard copy proof prints.
